Job Summary

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer specializing in Workday to serve as the primary technical lead for Workday HCM and Financial Management initiatives. The ideal candidate will translate business requirements into scalable solution designs, lead integrations and configurations, own the technical backlog, mentor the team, and ensure successful delivery across the full project lifecycle while partnering closely with HR, Finance, and technical stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Workday technical initiatives across HCM and Financial Management modules.

Gather business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solution designs.

Evaluate technical options and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives and Workday best practices.

Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio, and Object Transporter.

Provide technical leadership in business processes, security architecture, reporting, and calculated fields.

Assess the impact of business requirements on existing configurations, security roles, reports, and integrations.

Manage and prioritize technical backlogs for enhancements, defects, integrations, and technical debt.

Lead biannual release impact analysis, regression testing, and adoption planning.

Oversee test planning, execution, UAT coordination, defect triage, and resolution validation.

Develop and maintain advanced reports, dashboards, and calculated fields for HR and Finance analytics.

Drive data quality and governance across shared master data.

Manage the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to deployment and production support.

Maintain technical documentation covering solution designs, configurations, integrations, testing, and user enablement.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve critical technical problems.

Mentor junior analysts and developers and promote reusable solutions and best practices.

Collaborate with Product Owners, HR and Finance stakeholders, developers, and leadership to align business needs with technical delivery.

Present technical recommendations, solution designs, project updates, and demonstrations to stakeholders.
