Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior Oracle Database Administrator to own enterprise-scale Oracle environments that support mission-critical applications. You will be accountable for installation, configuration, administration, performance, backup and recovery, security, high availability, and day-to-day operational health of production databases.

Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
    Oracle Certified Professional preferred; Oracle Certified Master is an advantage.
    Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise production databases.

Key Responsibilities

    Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Oracle 11g, 12c, 19c, and 21c environments.
    Administer Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and GoldenGate.
    Monitor performance and tune SQL, indexes, execution plans, memory, and database parameters.
    Design, implement, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies using RMAN and Data Guard.
    Troubleshoot complex production issues, restore service quickly, and deliver root-cause analysis with preventive actions.
    Implement security controls and support access reviews, audits, vulnerability remediation, and compliance.
    Execute migrations, upgrades, refreshes, cloning, capacity planning, and storage management.
    Support 24x7 production systems and participate in on-call rotation as required.
    Automate recurring DBA work with Shell, Python, or Ansible.
    Partner with application, infrastructure, cloud, DevOps, and security teams.
    Maintain SOPs, recovery guides, runbooks, and technical documentation.
    Lead modernization, upgrade, and reliability initiatives and mentor junior DBAs.
